Schools out until at least April 24th here in Spokane. To give the kiddles something to occupy their time and get them outdoors, some genius has thought of a game for them. Neighbors are to put a shamrock in a window. Whichever child logs the most shamrocks wins. Not sure what they win, but probably just the fact that it's a competition is enough to get them counting.

Here is my front door this morning. I so like the way it looks, I just may keep the shamrock right where it is!

Looking back . . . Four Pin Friday

 Life has gotten in the way this past week so, to keep my FPF going, I drew back to my very first post entered more than a year ago. 

 

 A blogger friend, who lives in an even more wintry place than I, began doing a "Three Pin Thursday" in lieu of her usual thrift store/ garage sale post.  So ... not wanting to completely swipe this wonderful idea from her, I changed it up a bit and am making it a "Four Pin Friday".  Hope you don't mind Debbie.  Actually its a compliment to your genius plan!

I've always been intrigued with doorways and entries of all kinds.  These closeups of a few knobs and a keyhole are some of my Pinterest finds ... 

 

 They just don't make 'em like they used to (at least not in my neighborhood)!

Four Pin Friday

Since I use a wreath at the front door for each season, this idea from Pinterest contributors peaked my interest.  Hobby Lobby has monograms in all sizes and styles and next trip there I will be picking out a big cursive "B" to plunk on my wreaths.  Figure I can change colors or patterns (love the polka dots) on a whim to match each wreath.

The subject of my last ATC challenge was to use keys for my three swaps.  Here is the result . . .

I was ready with the tiny key ornaments I found on etsy.  They fit perfectly in these little 2.5" x 3.5" works of art.
